Creekside Elementary ASAP Program
ASAP is the After School Assistance Program for Creekside Elementary School which serves grades three through five.
The ASAP program is designed to assist those students that are very close to being proficient, but have not yet achieved that level in reading and/or math. These students are often missed because they do not qualify for the Special Education or Title 1 programs which are designed to provide assistance for struggling students.
The ASAP program provides flexibility for both student selection and scheduling. ASAP students are nominated by classroom teachers with final selections made by ASAP instructors.
The program is designed to provide 1.5 hours per week of instruction (1 hour per week of planning) for 12 weeks.
ASAP groups meet regularly during the months of February, March and April.
ASAP groups consist of up to four students.
Creekside Elementary ASAP has impacted 58 students, providing each student either individual or small group assistance.
